The founder of Atlantic Reach Electric, Bobby Hughes, is a third generation lineman who has put his 15 years of experience to good use, along with his partners, David Mallard and Dianne Mallard. Red-Seal Powerline Technician
Duties will include: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution and transmission systems, and performing hotline stick and glove work. Climbing poles and/or operating hydraulic buckets. Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed. Communicating with co-workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
We offer competitive wages, and cell phone and meal allowances. There is also opportunity for overtime through storm restoration.
We are currently hiring for a Ground Worker position to assist in Utility Tree Trimming. Candidates must be able to lift and remove large branches and logs, have a positive attitude, and be able to take direction from a supervisor. Training would include learning how to work with a chainsaw, wood/branch chipper, and related arboricultural tools. This position is physically demanding and completed outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Duties would include:
· Assisting Arborists with tree removal and debris disposal.
· Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior and more experienced crew members.
· Attending chainsaw training and other technical training related to the job.
· Working with chainsaws and chippers.
· Using appropriate gear and observing safety protocols.
The following certifications are an asset but not required: Class 3 license, First Aid, WHMIS.
