Duties would include performing line clearing adjacent to distribution and transmission electrical lines by climbing a tree, from an aerial device, or from the ground. The ability to work with a chainsaw, wood/branch chipper, and related arboricultural tools is required. This position is physically demanding and completed outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
The following certifications are an asset: Class 3 licence, First Aid, WHMIS.

Duties would include fleet and preventative maintenance and overhaul/rebuild activities for commercial trucks and trailers and heavy-duty industrial equipment related to the line and tree utility sectors. This position will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting. Our successful candidate will be intrinsically motivated and committed to making safe choices when completing all tasks.
The ability to perform alone and in a team environment, to troubleshoot mechanical issues, and to organize work to shop standards is a must. Although this is a full time Monday to Friday position, the successful candidate may also be required to perform mechanical duties on storm calls both in Canada and in the United States.
The following are an asset: Red-Seal Certification, Class 3 license, First Aid, WHMIS, a passport, and experience with welding and fabrication.
